About This Lesson
The students will begin by using prior knowledge of solving quadratic equations by factoring and graphing to determine if quadratic equations written in vertex form are equivalent to quadratic equations written in standard form. Students will re-write quadratic equations written in vertex form to standard form. Students will continue to use prior knowledge of factoring to solve quadratic equations to identify the roots (zeros/solutions) of the quadratic equation.
