About This Lesson

Students will begin by modeling binomial expressions using algebra tiles and notice the bottom corner is missing. In which translates to the total area of the square is not completed. Students will determine how many units are missing and how many units are needed to complete the square. Students will be able to use models to complete the square, complete the square showing their steps by attending to precision, making sense and persevering, and using appropriate tools strategically.
