About This Lesson

Students will begin to continue to solve quadratic equations however, these equations cannot be factored and the leading coefficients will be greater than one. Students will learn quadratic equations that cannot be factored in the form ax2+bx+c = 0 can be solved by completing the square and applying the square root property. Students will also continue to check their solutions and identify their answers as rational solutions.
