About This Lesson

The Samuel Project is a powerful story about one teen’s discovery of the heroism in his own past when he chooses his grandfather as the subject of his senior art project.

Inspire your students to launch their own “Samuel Project” with these project-planning activity sheets designed to help middle school and high school art and language arts students chronicle the stories of an older relative or friend in any medium, including drawing, cartooning, animation, photography, video, and music.

Very interesting project. I

Very interesting project. I will attempt to revise this for my upper elementary music students. My thought is that they may be able to write a song or act out in movement/musical movement a story about an elder relative they see as a hero.
