About This Lesson
In this lesson, students will read a passage from a poem written by a former slave. Students will work in groups and collaborate on the main points in the poem before they begin drawing their final project. Students will also demonstrate comprehension of the poem by utilizing their knowledge of vocabulary and close reading from the previous three lessons.
