About This Lesson
With the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks approaching, how do we impart the significance of that day for a generation with no memory? After completing Part I, use this lesson plan to continue exploring the question: What happened on 9/11?
In this lesson, students will:
- Assess their prior knowledge of the 9/11 attacks.
- Be introduced to a timeline of key events on the morning of 9/11.
- Investigate a variety of primary source materials related to the 9/11 attacks.
- Understand how first-person accounts and multiple perspectives deepen historical study.
Lesson plans include interactive images, videos, and links, that are best viewed directly from our website using the link in the resources tab.
