Creating a pitch map for a poem

This lesson integrates music with visual arts and movement. It is appropriate for music classrooms with children of multiple ages or single-age classrooms.

Students explore the concept of pitch through movement, voices and visual arts, creating a pitch "map" and having their fellow students read, interpret and perform it. Students can receive feedback from their peers.
