About This Lesson
This lesson integrates music with poetry and storytelling. It is appropriate for children in classrooms with multiple ages or single-age classrooms.
After completing the "shoe stories and songs," students can learn a poem and a so-mi-re-do melody to go with it. Students compose rhythms using the word rhythms of different shoes. Students also compose melodies using their rhythms and so-mi-re-do.
