About This Lesson

This lesson integrates music with movement and poetry. It is appropriate for children in classrooms that have multiple ages or single-age classrooms.

In this lesson, students improvise and compose using quarter notes, eighth notes and quarter rests. Students learn about rondo form. Students write body percussion rhythms on different levels of a "body percussion staff" (included).
