About This Lesson

This lesson integrates music with movement and theater. It is appropriate for music classrooms with children of multiple ages or single-age classrooms.

This lesson attempts to show the distinction between beat and rhythm. Students use movement, manipulatives (coins) in order to compose and written work. A template for rhythm writing is included.
