Lesson Overview

Lesson Activities
1. Exploration and Discovery
- Students use the ARC Space app to explore the planets of the Solar System.
- Pupils generate questions about the planets and research answers, fostering curiosity and ownership of learning.
2. Rocket Information
- Pupils explore the Rocket Information section of the app to learn about different types of rockets and their components.
3. Rocket Puzzle
- Using the information gathered, students assemble rockets in the ARC Space app, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
4. Rocket Launch
- Pupils launch their rockets using the pre-designed game in ARC Space.
- Teachers assess understanding by checking if students can correctly identify rocket parts during the launch sequence.
5. Assessment
- A rubric evaluates:
- Interest and engagement
- Motivation in performing tasks
- Content knowledge of planets and rockets
- Performance in rocket assembly and launch
- Pre-designed tests within the ARC Space app (Rocket Launch Section) provide additional assessment of knowledge.
